PROJECT OVERVIEW

The project improvements included:

Shower Block and Kitchen Refurbishment

To enable the campsite to cater for a range of activity tourism visitors providing fit-for-purpose shower and kitchen facilities.

Enhancement of Campsite Pitches

To improve the current camping facility through providing all weather pitches for use by visitors to PCD. Provision of Large and Small Outdoor Event.

Arena/Classroom

To enhance the events potential by providing a designated area activities. In addition the classroom facility has increased capacity to provide training and educational classes.

Interpretation

High quality interpretation provision at the Visitor Centre has enhanced the visitor experience.

Children's Play Area

A new children's play area on the site to increase the appeal of the park as a family orientated centre.

Land Purchase for Cycle link

This element enabled a parcel of land to be purchased to improve the alignment of the cycle track.

Heat Exchangers

This element will improved the sustainability of the visitor centre by providing a more effective heating system, reducing the energy needs and the centre's carbon footprint.
