The Valleys Regional Park
Parc Rhanbarthol y Cymoedd
Originally two canals known as the Brecknock & Abergavenny Canal (Pontymoile to Brecon) and the Monmouthshire Canal (Newport to Pontymoile Basin).
The navigable part of this waterway now runs thirty five miles from Brecon to the outskirts of Cwmbran.
Environmental improvements at Pontymoel Basin focused on upgrading the entrance area, boundaries and visitor car park and to improve the facilities for people such as seating, cycle racks, benches, signage and paths.
