The Valleys Regional Park is a partnership between over 60 organisations to date working together to deliver environmental, heritage and tourism activities in a more effective, collaborative approach, both cross-sector and cross-boundary, towards a regional vision.

The partnership’s governance and structural organisation until 2014 was as follows:

• Strategic Group
The strategic and policy direction, as well as overall governance of the partnership is provided by the strategic group.

• Implementation Group
Delivery of funded projects is undertaken and monitored by the implementation group.

• Development Groups
Specific subgroups exist to provide strategic, planning and implementation advice and guidance for the partnership and its projects in order to maximise the benefits of the partnership and its funding.

• Management Team

It is responsible for the daily function and management of the partnership's activities.
