PROJECT OVERVIEW

Llyn Llech Owain Country Park is a stunning 158-acre expanse of woods and lakeland near Cross Hands with nature trails, an adventure area and visitor centre.

Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park lies in the triangle of Tumble, Drefach and Cross Hands in the Upper Gwendraeth Valley. It comprises 270 acres of natural beauty with approximately 90 acres of coniferous and deciduous woodland with the main Gwendraeth Fawr River running along the entire northern boundary of the site.

The project improved connections between and to three country parks in the Aman and Gwendraeth valleys in Carmarthenshire at the far western edge of the Valleys Regional Park area.

It also involved site-specific improvements at the sites.
